Why do you only carry one brand?
We launched with Banobagi because we believe in starting with what we know is exceptional rather than filling a catalogue for the sake of it. Every product in our selection has been chosen with care, and that takes time.
We are actively curating our next additions. When a brand meets our standard, it will earn its place here. Until then, we would rather offer fewer products we stand behind completely than more products we do not.
Are your products authentic?
All products sold on kessential.ch are sourced directly from Banobagi, a dermatologist-founded Korean skincare brand based in Seoul. We do not purchase through third-party distributors or resellers. Every product is shipped directly from the brand to us, and from us to you.
Are the products compliant with European regulations?
Yes. All Banobagi products sold on kessential.ch hold a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) and meet the requirements of the EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, which applies in Switzerland by equivalence. Products are manufactured in certified Korean facilities and have been assessed by an independent safety evaluator.
Are the products suitable for sensitive skin?
Many products in our range are specifically formulated for sensitive skin and have been clinically tested for skin tolerance. Each product page indicates whether a product has been dermatologically tested or clinically proven safe for sensitive skin. If you have reactive or compromised skin, we recommend starting with the Milk Thistle Repair line, which is designed specifically for sensitive and dry skin and has been awarded Excellent by Dermatest® Germany.
How can I know which products to avoid if I have allergies?
The full ingredient list for every product is available on each product page under Full Ingredients. Ingredients are listed in INCI format in descending order of concentration, as required by EU cosmetics regulations. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity, we recommend reviewing the ingredient list before purchasing. If you are unsure, contact us at hello@kessential.ch and we will help you identify any potential concerns.
Where are your products manufactured?
All products are manufactured in South Korea in facilities certified to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Korea has one of the most rigorous cosmetics regulatory frameworks in Asia, overseen by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).
